CSUN’s Center for Creative Collaboration reignited for its 8th Annual Bootcamp.

IntersectLA (IXLA), the high-impact academic center on the campus of California State University, Northridge, came together to commence IntersectLA’s 8th Annual Creative Bootcamp.

This year’s theme was “Reignite” — a week of reawakening drive, rekindling passion, and starting anew.

“Bootcamp reignited my professional drive by surrounding me with people whose passions match mine,” emphasized team member Denise Seto.

Denise is a senior majoring in communication design at CSUN, and this was her first Bootcamp. As an IXLA project lead, Denise Seto reflected on her experience.

“One thing I will take with me is all the moments of spending time with friends I’ve met through IXLA,” continued Seto.

IXLA is the Valley’s beacon for creatives, strategists, and communication designers alike. The center is an interdisciplinary team of motivated CSUN students developing strategic experiences that elevate businesses, organizations, and communities through creative collaboration and design.

“IntersectLA, formerly known as VISCOM while I was part of it, has been one of the most incredible launching-off points for my career,” said Jessica Strelioff, the week’s keynote speaker. “Some of the people I met here are still among my best friends to this day, ” continued Strelioff.

Jessica Strelioff reignited her career several times over. After her time at CSUN’s Center for Creative Collaboration, Strelioff worked for Yahoo, helped rebrand Asana, and birthed her own creative agency, located in Austin, Texas.

Strelioff, alongside other speakers, interactive games, and socially distanced gatherings, helped invigorate spirits for what’s to come this Fall!

Special thanks to: Keynote Speaker Jessica Strelioff; Guest Speakers Riselle Trinanes, Nick Longo, Steve Shaner, Shally Juarez, Lawrence Benjamin, and Dave Moon; as well as the IXLA Bootcamp Planning Committee.
